Full Match Report:

The ladies got off to a great start.

An early goal for the ladies came when Jenna Boddison flicked the ball over her head into the channel for Rebecca Bown to get on the end off and place past the rushing out Coventry keeper. Rebbeca Bown not long got her second goal after that when Nicola Mason played a free-kick right into Rebecca's path to finish it. The ladies kept working hard as a team and creating plenty of chances. Jenna Boddison got her goal in the game when some nice link-up play with Danni Smith found her 1 on 1 with the keeper to score. Goalkeeper Rebecca Williams was forced into action for the first time when the ball fell to their striker who struck the ball cleanly but Rebecca Williams made it look an easy save with great reactions. Near the end of the first half, the ladies found there 4th goal and Rebecca Bown's hat trick when Lucy Warner picked the ball up in the middle of the field, held off some of the Coventry players, and played a perfect ball through the channel for Rebecca to run on to and finish. Sian Bonner nearly made it 5 on the stroke of half time when the ball found her but she didn't connect as she intended and it ended up in the keeper's arms. The second half saw the ladies switch off a little and took some time to adjust to changes. Coventry managed to grab a goal from a corner that the ladies were unable to deal with. Sophie Lloyd came on and was really unlucky to not get her goal after a great strike beat everyone but the crossbar. The ladies finished the game 5-1 when in the last few minutes a corner from Maria Bell found Sian Bonner at the back post who calmly slotted it in. Overall another great team performance from the ladies. The Player of the match went to Lucy Warner after her hard work in the middle. She never stopped and created some brilliant chances. Next up for Shifnal ladies is a local game away to AFC Telford ladies

  Boddison turns down move to local rivals Shrewsbury Town. Shifnal player Jenna Boddison and one part of the dynamic strike duo at Shifnal Town Ladies has been approached by local rival ladies team Shrewsbury Town.  Jenna currently sits 4th in the league's top goal scorers of the season with 11 goals from 8 games 6 goals away from leader Shrewsbury Towns Madison Jones who currently sits on 17 goals from 9 games. We managed to catch up with Jenna in regards to the potential move to Shrewsbury Town and asked her a couple of questions in regards to this.  Q:  How did it feel to be approached by another club, a rival club at that?
