Jenna Boddison Previews Coventry City

Striker and goal scorer in the 2-0 home win over AFC Telford United Ladies last weekend, Jenna Boddison, gives her thoughts heading into the Shifnal Town Ladies away encounter with Coventry City Women on Sunday 25th October.

Boddison has been playing extremely well so far this season scoring a number of goals and putting in outstanding performances as well as receiving player of the match a bunch of times. She is a key player for the team. 

On the win against Telford.

"We worked well as a team to get the win on Sunday, we stayed strong and focused throughout the whole game".

On your personal performance.

"I’m proud of my performance on Sunday, I put 100% into the game and managed to get a goal for my team which is great".

Your thoughts on opponents Coventry City next game.

"We need to be strong and persistent this week. I think if we show up on Sunday against Coventry like we did last Sunday against Telford I believe we will come away with another win."


Shifnal Town Ladies travel to the Alan Higgs Centre this weekend to face Coventry City Women, Shifnal were 6-2 winners in the home tie against Coventry and are hoping for the same sort of result.

  Boddison turns down move to local rivals Shrewsbury Town. Shifnal player Jenna Boddison and one part of the dynamic strike duo at Shifnal Town Ladies has been approached by local rival ladies team Shrewsbury Town.  Jenna currently sits 4th in the league's top goal scorers of the season with 11 goals from 8 games 6 goals away from leader Shrewsbury Towns Madison Jones who currently sits on 17 goals from 9 games. We managed to catch up with Jenna in regards to the potential move to Shrewsbury Town and asked her a couple of questions in regards to this.  Q:  How did it feel to be approached by another club, a rival club at that?
