  Danielle Jones talks about loss to AFC Telford United Shifnal Town Ladies faced AFC Telford United Ladies Sunday 06/02/2022. AFC Telford came away the victors with a 2-0 win. Both teams battled hard but Telford took their chances when they got them.  We managed to catch up with Danielle Jones and ask her a few questions in regards to the game. Q: How do you feel after the local derby yesterday? A:  I'm gutted that we lost the game as it's the first league game we've lost so far this season. Q: Do you feel the team can bounce back from the loss? A:  I feel we can definitely bounce back after the loss. were not just a bunch of ladies who turn up to play football were a family and we just need to keep our heads up reset our minds and refocus as a team and go again next week. Q: Can Shifnal Town Ladies still challenge for the league title? A:  All we can keep doing now is just focus on each game week to week and keep getting those wins and points and hope for the best.

  Boddison turns down move to local rivals Shrewsbury Town. Shifnal player Jenna Boddison and one part of the dynamic strike duo at Shifnal Town Ladies has been approached by local rival ladies team Shrewsbury Town.  Jenna currently sits 4th in the league's top goal scorers of the season with 11 goals from 8 games 6 goals away from leader Shrewsbury Towns Madison Jones who currently sits on 17 goals from 9 games. We managed to catch up with Jenna in regards to the potential move to Shrewsbury Town and asked her a couple of questions in regards to this.  Q:  How did it feel to be approached by another club, a rival club at that? A:  Being approached by another team I took it as a compliment but my loyalties will always be with Shifnal and I do not have any intentions of leaving. Q:  What made u want to stay at Shifnal? PLAYER PROFILE: MARIA BELL

  The first in a series of player profiles where we get to know members of the Shifnal Town Ladies. Starting with Captain Meria Bell, The Midfielder has played for Shifnal Town Ladies for about 4 years where she was playing for Wrockwardine wood before they changed to Shifnal. Maria has proven to be a true leader on the pitch and a key player to the Ladies team. She was awarded the captain's armband 3 seasons ago.  When asked how she felt when first getting asked to captain the Shifnal Ladies, She said: "Playing for Shifnal is like having another family! I got asked to be Captain 3 years ago, It felt amazing to become Captain for Shifnal, and I was keen to prove I was a true leader".  Shifnal Ladies currently sit 2nd in the division one-north league and have had a very strong start to the season so far, But she says the club has so much more to give.
